A Suring man was indicted Wednesday in federal court in Green Bay for allegedly sexually assaulting two teenage girls.

According to the indictment, William Wilber IV, 37, engaged in sex acts with two teenage girls near a family property on Legend Lake on the Menominee Indian Reservation.

He is charged with engaging in a sex act with a 14-year-old girl in spring 2015, and with a 15-year-old girl in summer 2015 and fall 2016.

If convicted, Wilber faces maximum statutory penalties of 15 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and five years of supervised release on each of the three counts.

According to the criminal complaint, Wilber sexually assaulted the 15-year-old on a picnic table at the property and on the truck of his car. The girl said she could not stop the assaults.

The 14-year-old said she was inebriated and in the backseat of a car being driven back from Legend Lake by Wilber’s son when she was assaulted, according to investigators.

An arraignment has been set Friday before Magistrate Judge James Sickel.
