Shawano area residents and area high school students interested in employment and career training options are invited to attend the Shawano County Job Center’s annual job fair March 16.
The fair, hosting more than 40 employers, will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Gathering, 2600 E. Richmond St., Shawano. This event is free and open to area high school students and those interested in all levels of employment and possible career training opportunities, including the U.S. armed forces.
Local area employers will be taking applications and conducting interviews.
Local colleges will be on hand to provide prospective students the latest information on technical and community college opportunities in the local area.
The job center will provide information on the Workforce Investment Act program, which helps fund training and provides other valuable services for those in need of training for job placement. Additionally, information will be available on the Wisconsin Works and Food Share Employment and Training programs. Case managers will be available to answer questions.
