Shawano School Board incumbents Tyler Schmidt and Bruce Milavitz both survived Tuesday’s primary election to move on to the general election, and each will face the same challenger, former teacher Mart Grams.
Grams and another challenger, Starlyn Rose Tourtillott, were both part of two three-way races Tuesday, including for the Area 4 seat currently held by Schmidt and the at-large seat currently held by Milavitz.
Grams lost a bid for Milavitz’ seat last year.
The general election for those seats will be held on April 3.
Tuesday’s results, which still need to be verified by the Board of Canvass, were as follows:
Area 4
Schmidt — 901
Grams — 362
Rose Tourtillott — 270
At-Large
Milavitz — 704
Grams — 445
Rose Tourtillott — 355
