The holidays are winding down, but the Shawano City-County Library, 128 S. Sawyer St., is planning a no-school day Jan. 22 filled with adventure and inspiration.
There will be two runs through a Minecraft-themed escape room, the first at 11 a.m. and the second at 1 p.m. As an escapee, you are trapped in the eight-bit world and must find your way back to your own world through the locked boxes you uncover.
Beginner ukulele lessons designed for those just starting out will begin at 2 p.m., with ukuleles available to borrow. All individuals are encouraged to try the instrument that is great for beginners.
At 3 p.m., the Creation Station will feature Makey Makey, where you can turn the whole world into a keyboard through this invention kit. Beginners to experts can make the quirkiest of inventions and are limited only through their imaginations.
