The city of Clintonville is in the process of updating its comprehensive plan and is looking for input from citizens.
Residents are asked to consider attending an open-house style workshop Dec. 6 to talk about the future of the city’s demographics, housing, economic development, land use and possible expansions.
“We want you to think about and say what you really want for the future,” said Eric Fowle, executive director for East Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission. “We’ll figure out the path to get there.”
Fowle told members of the Clintonville Plan Commission at a recent meeting that much of the city’s comprehensive plan is based upon input from commission members and citizens. The city’s current comprehensive plan, approved in 2007, is good for 20 years. By law, the city must review and update its plan every decade.
City Administrator Sharon Eveland said it is critical that the city receive a wide variety of community feedback regarding the city’s comprehensive plan.
“I encourage you to talk to community members. Talk to your neighbors. Talk to your co-workers that are in Clintonville because this is really important,” said Eveland.
The self-guided workshop will be held 5:30-7:30 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Community Center, 30 S. Main St.
