Authorities Friday released the name of a 41-year-old Appleton woman killed in a crash in Shawano County on Thursday.
Naomi Gregurich died from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash on state Highway 29 in the town of Herman just before 11 a.m. near the intersection of Rangeline Road, according to the Shawano County Sheriff’s Department.
An initial evaluation of the crash suggests that a 2013 Ford Focus operated by a 31-year-old Shawano man had been travelling east on Highway 29, crossed the median and struck a westbound 2008 Saturn being driven by Gregurich.
Two juveniles travelling with the woman were being treated at area hospitals, as was the driver of the other vehicle. Initial reports were that they did not have life-threatening injuries.
Aid was provided on-site by a passerby, Gresham Fire/EMS and Shawano Ambulance Service.
The crash is being investigated by the sheriff’s department and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
No additional information was available Friday.
