Shawano Police Department

June 26

Police logged 30 incidents, including the following:

Curfew — Two juveniles were cited for curfew violations at Alpine Drive and Main Street.

Vandalism — Police responded to a vandalism complaint in the 200 block of South Washington Street.

Arrest — A male subject was taken into custody at the probation and parole offices, 1340 E. Green Bay St.

Vandalism — A vehicle was reported vandalized in the 700 block of South Main Street.

June 25

Police logged 18 incidents, including the following:

Auto Theft — A vehicle was reported stolen in the 400 block of South Lafayette Street.

Shoplifting — Walmart, 1244 E. Green Bay St., reported a shoplifting incident.

Fraud — Family Dollar, 413 S. Main St., reported a counterfeit $100 bill.

Warrant — A 31-year-old man was arrested on a warrant in the 700 block of South Main Street.

Harassment — Police responded to a harassment complaint in the 1100 block of Waukechon Street.

June 24

Police logged 19 incidents, including the following:

Shoplifting — Walmart, 1244 E. Green Bay St., reported a shoplifting incident.

Theft — A gun was reported stolen in the 900 block of South Maiden Lane.

Disturbance — Police responded to a disturbance at Prairie and Washington streets.

Disturbance — A 40-year-old Shawano man was arrested for domestic violence-related disorderly conduct after a domestic disturbance in the 1000 block of South River Street.

June 23

Police logged 34 incidents, including the following:

Harassment — Police responded to a harassment complaint at Angie’s Main Cafe, 132 S. Main St.

Accident — Police responded to an injury accident involving a motorcycle and UPS truck in the 200 block of East Green Bay Street. According to the police reports, A UPS truck operated by a 56-year-old De Pere man was stopped at a stop sign facing north at West Green Bay Street and South Washington Street. The driver pulled out in front of an eastbound motorcycle operated by a 70-year-old De Pere man. The motorcycle struck the UPS truck broadside. The UPS driver was not injured. The motorcycle operator had minor injuries and was treated at the scene. A passenger on the motorcycle, a 56-year-old De Pere woman, was transported with serious injuries to a Green Bay area hospital. The truck driver was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign causing injury.

Accident — Police responded to a two-vehicle accident at Eagle and Smalley streets.

Hit and Run — Police responded to a property damage hit-and-run in the 600 block of South Main Street.

Arrest — A 44-year-old man was taken into custody at the probation and parole offices, 1340 E. Green Bay St.

Shoplifting — Walmart, 1244 E. Green Bay St., reported a shoplifting incident.

Theft — A bike was reported stolen in the 500 block of East Center Street.

Disorderly — Police responded to an intoxicated person complaint at Elizabeth and Olson streets.

June 26

Deputies logged 39 incidents, including the following:

Juvenile — Authorities responded to a juvenile problem on Hemlock Road in the town of Wittenberg.

Theft — A speaker and amplifier were reported stolen from a vehicle on Lafayette Street in the town of Wescott.

Shoplifting — Hanke’s Sentry Foods, 110 S. Mission St., Wittenberg, reported a shoplifting incident.

Drug Offense — Authorities investigated a juvenile drug complaint on Webb Street in Wittenberg.

Theft — A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle on Slab City Road in the town of Hartland.

Disturbance — Authorities responded to a disturbance on Quartz Avenue in Mattoon.

Fraud — About $2,000 was reported lost to an online scam on Emily Lane in the town of Washington.

Disturbance — Authorities responded to a domestic disturbance on County Road N in Birnamwood.

June 25

Deputies logged 41 incidents, including the following:

Disorderly — Authorities responded to a disorderly conduct complaint on Cherry Street in Wittenberg.

Child Abuse — A child abuse complaint in the town of Angelica was under investigation.

Juvenile — Authorities responded to a juvenile problem on Hemlock Road in the town of Wittenberg.

Suspicious — Authorities responded to a suspicious person complaint on County Road CC in the town of Waukechon.

Accident — Authorities responded to an injury accident on state Highway 29 in the town of Hartland and logged four deer-related crashes. One deer crash closed down a lane of Highway 29 near Campground Road for about half an hour. Airbags were deployed, but no injuries were reported.

June 24

Juvenile — Authorities responded to a juvenile problem on Pond Lane in the town of Seneca.

Suspicious — Authorities responded to a suspicious person complaint on Golfview Road in Cecil.

Suspicious — A suspicious item was investigated on Cedar Street in Tigerton.

Fireworks — Authorities responded to fireworks complaints on state Highway 47-55 and on Lake Drive in the town of Wescott.

Accidents — Authorities logged three deer-related crashes.

Disturbance — Authorities responded to a disturbance on Cherry Road in the town of Herman.

Fireworks — Authorities responded to fireworks complaints on County Road CC and County Road BE in the town of Waukechon.

Juvenile — Authorities investigated a juvenile alcohol complaint on Main Street in the town of Fairbanks.
