Maintaining a drug trafficking place
Two Cecil residents are facing charges of allegedly running a drug trafficking place and possessing marijuana with the intention of delivering it to others.
Authorities executed a search warrant in the village last month at the residence of Bradley W. Sexton, 53, and Terri L. Singletary, 52, after a confidential informant reported marijuana being sold there, according to the criminal complaints.
Authorities found more than 35 grams of marijuana, along with various drug paraphernalia, a handgun and $340 in cash, the complaint states.
Sexton and Singletary were both out on $1,500 signature bonds at the time as a result of a previous arrest on similar charges after a search warrant was executed in September. Those cases are still pending.
Both Sexton and Singletary could face a maximum of 3½ years in prison and a $10,000 fine on each of the felony charges against them if found guilty, including possession with intent to deliver marijuana and maintaining a drug trafficking place.
Both are also charged with felony bail jumping, which carries a maximum penalty of six years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
Sexton has pleaded not guilty. He was ordered held on a $5,000 cash bond and is scheduled for a pre-trial conference on June 9.
Singletary, who was ordered held on a $3,000 cash bond, is scheduled for arraignment June 9.
