Leader Staff
A three-way contest will require a Feb. 21 primary to narrow the field for a seat to fill out an unexpired term on the Menominee Indian School Board.
Incumbent Randal Chevalier was appointed to the seat after the Sept. 25 death of longtime board member Mary Wayka, who had recently been re-elected to another three-year term.
Running against Chevalier are Toni Caldwell, who lost to Wayka last year, and Rudolph Reiter.
The top two finishers in the Feb. 21 primary will advance to the April 4 general election to determine who will serve out the remaining two years of Wayka’s term.
