Felony OWI

An arrest warrant was issued Monday for a Shawano woman who failed to appear on felony charges of operating while intoxicated, according to court records.

Destinee M. Lyons, 42, was arrested in Marion on Aug. 19 after police there received a tip that Lyons might be driving while intoxicated, according to the criminal complaint. She was pulled over on U.S. Highway 45.

A preliminary breath test showed a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.21 percent, nearly three times the legal limit, the complaint states.

Lyons could face a maximum six years in prison and $10,000 fine if convicted of fifth-offense OWI, and the same possible penalty for fifth-offense operating with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration. She is also charged with a misdemeanor count of operating while revoked.

According to court records, Lyons has two previous OWI convictions in Shawano County, one in Oconto County and one in Winnebago County.

Reckless endangerment

An Antigo man is due in court next week on a felony charge of reckless endangerment for allegedly driving on the wrong side of the highway in August and striking another vehicle head-on.

The crash on state Highway 29 in the town of Wittenberg on Aug. 27 injured two people in the other vehicle, according to the criminal complaint.

Bradley V. Kurszewski, 35, could face 10 years in prison and a $25,000 fine if found guilty of reckless endangerment. He is also charged with two misdemeanor counts of first-offense operating while intoxicated-causing injury, and operating with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration-causing injury.

According to the complaint, an initial breath test showed a blood-alcohol level of 0.17 percent, more than twice the legal limit.

Kurszewski is scheduled for an initial court appearance Monday.

Felony OWI

A Green Bay woman is facing a felony charge of operating while intoxicated with an underage passenger in the vehicle.

Ondrea L. Wade, 32, was arrested Aug. 20 on state Highway 29 in the town of Maple Grove after being pulled over for not wearing a seat belt, according to the criminal complaint.

The complaint alleges Wade failed field sobriety tests, though a preliminary breath test did not indicate a reading.

The complaint also alleges Wade was in possession of marijuana.

Wade had two passengers in the vehicle, according to the complaint, an infant and a 15-year-old child.

Wade could face anywhere from 90 days to two years in prison and a maximum $4,000 fine for third-offense OWI with a child in the vehicle if convicted. She could also face a maximum 3 1/2 years in prison and $10,000 fine if convicted of second or subsequent offense possession of marijuana.

She is free on a $1,500 signature bond and is due in court for an adjourned initial appearance on Nov. 14.
