A motorist from Bowler was killed and a child was injured Friday night in a traffic accident in Shawano County, officials said Saturday.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Department described the motorist as a 63-year-old Bowler man who was pronounced dead after the incident in the town of Herman.
An 11-year-old child who was a passenger in the man’s vehicle was taken to a hospital with injuries, but his condition was not disclosed.
Two other people riding in another vehicle were described as an 18-year-old driver from Clintonville and a 17-year-old passenger from Manawa. No information was provided.
The sheriff’s department said one vehicle was traveling north on County Road U just before 8 p.m. Friday when it collided with a vehicle traveling west on state Highway 29.
Officials said the incident was still under investigation.
