Possession/intent to deliver meth

Two people are facing felony drug charges after one of them allegedly dropped a baggie of methamphetamine while playing a slot machine at the North Star Casino.

The March 2 incident was caught on surveillance video, and the woman who dropped the baggie was identified by hotel records, according to the criminal complaint.

That led authorities to execute a search warrant on a room at the casino hotel, W12180 County Road A, Bowler, where the second suspect and additional drugs were found, according to the complaint.

Jacob J. Lewis, 31, of Wisconsin Rapids, was charged with felony counts of possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, maintaining a drug trafficking place and bail jumping.

Amanda S. Marasch, 24, of Milwaukee, is also charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, as well as carrying a concealed weapon.

Each of them could face a maximum 25 years in prison and a $100,000 fine on the possession with intent to deliver charges if found guilty.

According to the criminal complaint, authorities seized 32.1 grams of meth, 1.7 grams of LSD and drug paraphernalia.

Lewis was ordered held on a $7,500 cash bond. He is scheduled for an adjourned initial appearance on March 21.
