Clintonville native and television personality Bill Jartz will serve as master of ceremonies for the University of Wisconsin varsity band show Sunday in Clintonville.

The show, sponsored by the Clintonville Lions and Rotary clubs, will begin at 2 p.m. in the Clintonville High School fieldhouse, 64 Green Tree Road.

Jartz is news anchor for WBAY-TV in Green Bay and the voice of the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.

“I’m glad they’re bringing the show to Clintonville so the people can get a taste of the best band in the land,” Jartz said. “The Badger band is legendary, and they bring such enthusiasm and passion to whatever venue they visit.

“Their visit to Lambeau Field each year is one we all look forward to. The fifth quarter rocks! Just keep an eye on those tuba players!”

Lowell Easley, chairman of the joint Lions and Rotary committee planning the band show, said the organizers are pleased to have Jartz as emcee.

“Bill’s sense of humor, enthusiasm and warm personality will just add to what is already going to be a very entertaining afternoon,” Easley said.

Tickets remain available online at http://uwbandshowclintonville.eventbrite.com through 10 p.m. Saturday. Tickets can be purchased at the door, beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday.
