An arrest warrant was issued Thursday for an Oshkosh man who was out on bond for allegedly setting up a sexual rendezvous with a child.
Nathan C. Zwicky, 25, allegedly violated the conditions of his bond by having contact with two children and exchanging text messages with them, according to the criminal complaint.
Zwicky had posted a $5,000 cash bond in October of last year after being charged with a felony count of using a computer to facilitate a sex crime, which carries a maximum possible penalty of 40 years in prison and a $100,000 fine.
The conditions of his bond include no unauthorized contact with anyone under age 18.
Zwicky was initially arrested by Shawano County sheriff’s detectives on Oct. 20, 2014, as part of a computer sex sting operation in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Internet Crimes Against Children task force.
Detectives posing as juveniles on the Internet were contacted by the suspects who arranged to meet them for a sexual rendezvous.
According to the criminal complaint in that case, Zwicky believed he was meeting a 15-year-old girl for a sexual encounter when he was arrested.
The new criminal complaint filed Thursday alleges Zwicky violated his bond by having contact with two twin 10-year-old girls. The contacts allegedly occurred between August and November of this year, and included text messages obtained from the girls’ cell phones by authorities in Kewaunee County.
Zwicky is charged with three counts of felony bail jumping, each of which carries a maximum possible penalty of six years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
Zwicky had been scheduled for a plea hearing in the computer sex crime case on Dec. 8.
